1. Jamming out. This is probably one of the most fun approaches to write a song. In case your band is fantastic at improvising then this will likely come easiest. It is a bit easier compared to the jamming out method as there is already something solid to groove on.
3. Overdubbing. This is another way I’ve seen used. I’ve used this method too. The process of this usually gets underway with some general improvised and is constructed from ground-up. As an example, the beginning from the writing process will contain just a drum and bass groove. Following the rhythm section may be established, a guitarist can play and record towards the rhythm track. Following your guitarist, the keyboardist will jump on and record his groove on top of the track and so on. This really is similar to the prior method nonetheless it allows each musician a little more time to think because the parts prior to his are now being laid down. This obviously works best when all people in this guitar rock band are in the studio together and the overdubbing process happens over the span of several hours.
